Dragonware

Dragonware, founded by Guido Henkel in 1987, was the leading company in full-German text-adventures. They got really good reviews on their three titles: "No German adventure has reached or will reach this high quality level of 'Die Drachen von Laas'," they said. "Ooze" was so successful that they did an English translation. All their games were originally distributed by "Ariola Soft". After the success of "Ooze", Dragonware took over its distribution. As text-adventure games lost their interest in the beginning of the 90's, Dragonware saw the same end as Infocom or Magnetic Scrolls in 1992.
